The Nepal National League, also referred to as the ANFA National League, is set to kick off on Poush 25, 2082 (January 9, 2026). This tournament will serve as a prelude to the Martyrs Memorial A-Division League, giving clubs an opportunity to regain match fitness and prepare for the top-tier league after more than 1,000 days without competitive league football in Nepal. The last A-Division match was played on June 10, 2023.

Looking Ahead
The National League will help clubs adjust to competitive conditions ahead of the Martyrs Memorial A-Division League, which is expected to start approximately one month after the National League concludes. The A-Division League will adopt a double round-robin format, with clubs playing home and away matches at their own grounds.
With this tournament, ANFA aims to provide clubs with much-needed competitive exposure and create excitement among Nepali football fans after a long hiatus.
